Wokingham CCG commissions a range of services for the treatment of children.

This is within a variety of settings and with a variety of providers and partners, such as Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, local charities and the local unitary authorities.

Berkshire West Child Health App

Parents and carers of pre-school children have a new source of health information at their fingertips with the introduction of a new app packed with advice on a wide range of common childhood illnesses.

The Berkshire Child Health app, available on Apple and Android, was commissioned by the four Clinical Commissioning Groups in Berkshire West as a digital update to a booklet produced four years ago.

It gives tips on how to manage common ailments, such as coughs, sore throats and teething and advice on when and where to seek help from a healthcare professional and, through the power of their phone or tablet, is available 24/7.

A version of the app has also been made into a booklet and printed - you can download it here. This has been distributed through GP surgeries and other community organisations.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT)

This service directory gives a description of each BHFT service, how to get help, who to contact and service location details where relevant. Please remember that for many of these services you will need to be referred for treatment, usually by your GP.

The safety and welfare of children is of paramount importance to Wokingham CCG and we work diligently to ensure that all of the services we commission ensure high quality, safe and effective care.
