Our Work

As a CCG we work with various other partners and organisations, across health, social care and the voluntary sector to improve local health services for our population. This section has information about the Primary Care Commissioning Committee and our Primary Care Strategy as well as examples of some of the projects we are working on, or have been involved with which may be of interest.

The Primary Care Commissioning Committee is a joint quarterly meeting between the four CCGs in Berkshire West to which NHS England has delegated responsibility for the commissioning of GP services.

Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are responsible for planning and buying health services on behalf of local people.

The four CCGs in Berkshire West have set up the Partnership Development Fund to enhance their commitment to working with the voluntary sector on local services for patients, that align with the CCGs’ strategic and operational plans.

NHS Berkshire West aims to develop integrated commissioning to support unpaid or informal Carers.

Enhanced Services are primary care services which are not covered by GP practice core NHS contracts.

The Wokingham Health and Wellbeing Board is committed to improving health and wellbeing of the population across the district.
