Vice Chair, and Lay Member Patient and Public Engagement

David is Vice Chairman of Wokingham CCG's Governing Body and has lived in Wokingham for 27 years. He worked for 3M UK plc for 32 years in technical sales and marketing. He has operated at board level for 15 years and brings this experience to the Governing Body of NHS Wokingham CCG. He currently has his own company and is a member of various committees in the public and private sector, reflecting his passion for health and education.

As a Lay Member his responsibilities include providing an external, non-NHS perspective to the Governing Body, particularly around patient and public engagement. He brings a pragmatic and practical common sense approach to the dealings of the Governing Body.

David's focus is working with the various external Wokingham stakeholders, particularly the Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), carers and other patient representative bodies.

He is keen to hear the views of a wider range of both patients and public, particularly young adults, and is working on ways of more appropriate engagement with those groups.

David is married with two daughters and enjoys a round of golf in what spare time he has.
